Jim Cron was named Delta Air Lines senior vice president of global sales and distribution

Previously serving as Northwest Airlines senior vice president of marketing and distribution, , reporting to president Ed Bastian. Following its merger last week with Northwest, Delta announced several other executive appointments, including Delta executive vice president of operations Steve Gorman's promotion to COO and Delta veteran Hank Halter's promotion to CFO.
