JetBlue Airways reported a $52 million second-quarter profit, up from $25 million in the same quarter in 2011
and representing the carrier's highest-ever second-quarter profit level, according to JetBlue. Second-quarter passenger unit revenue grew 6 percent year over year on a 5.5 percent increase in capacity. The carrier's average quarterly fare was $159.58, up 1 percent from the second quarter of 2011.
