Domestic U.S. airline passenger yield in September increased 7 percent year over year to 14.19 cents per mile
, according to the Air Transport Association. Defined as "the average price (excluding taxes) paid to fly one mile," domestic yield increased for a ninth consecutive month. ATA for September also reported a 19 percent jump in total passenger revenue.
