Domestic U.S. airline passenger yield in October increased 7.3 percent year over year
to 14.73 cents per mile, according to the Air Transport Association. Defined as "the average price (excluding taxes) paid to fly one mile," domestic yield increased for a tenth consecutive month, but at the smallest rate since January 2010. ATA for October also reported an 18 percent increase in total passenger revenue, powered by a 31 percent jump in revenue from international flights.
