Domestic U.S. airline passenger yield in August declined by 14 percent

year over year to 13.14 cents per mile, the smallest monthly decline since April, according to the Air Transport Association. Defined as the "average price someone pays to fly one mile excluding government taxes and fees," domestic yield has now declined for 10 consecutive months. Transatlantic and transpacific yields each were down more than 24 percent.
