British Airways posted a pre-tax loss of £164 million (US$247 million) for the three months ended June 30
, up from £148 million (US$223 million) a year earlier. The carrier attributed a £250 million impact from "all disruptions" during the quarter, notably airspace closures due to volcanic ash and cabin crew strikes.
