American Airlines and Northwest Airlines swapped hub invasion announcements
. AA said customer demand drove it to schedule three daily flights between New York LaGuardia and Northwest's hub at Minneapolis/St. Paul, starting Sept. 5., and Northwest retaliated with triple-daily service starting the same day between LaGuardia and AA's home base at Dallas/Fort Worth.
