American Airlines CEO Gerard Arpey yesterday confirmed the airline had raised domestic fares
"across the board" by $5 to $10. Spirit Airlines also raised most one-way fares between $5 and $20, and fare watchers this week expect most major carriers to undertake similar pricing actions.
