Alaska Airlines in May was the most punctual major U.S. carrier, with an on-time performance of 91 percent, according to FlightStats.
Achieving a top ranking for a sixth consecutive month, Alaska was followed by US Airways and AirTran (each 85 percent). Delta Air Lines (74 percent) ranked worst among the nine largest carriers.
