Alaska Airlines in May again was the most punctual major U.S. carrier with an on-time arrival rate of nearly 90 percent
, according to FlightStats. It was followed by AirTran Airways (86 percent) and Delta Air Lines (79 percent). Southwest Airlines again ranked last among the nine largest U.S. carriers based on FlightStats data, with on-time performance of 66 percent.
