Alaska Airlines in April was the most punctual major U.S. carrier, with an on-time performance of 90 percent, according to FlightStats.
Achieving a top ranking for a fifth consecutive month, Alaska was followed by AirTran Airways and US Airways (each 87 percent). American Airlines (81 percent) ranked worst among the 10 largest carriers.
