Alaska Airlines in April was the most punctual major U.S. carrier with an on-time arrival rate of 89 percent
, according to FlightStats. It was followed by AirTran Airways (80 percent) and United Airlines (79 percent). Southwest Airlines again ranked last among the nine largest U.S. carriers based on FlightStats data, with on-time performance of 66 percent.
