Air France and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines announced new increases for fuel surcharges applied to passenger tickets
. Air France said its increases, effective 10 Aug, will range from 1 euro to 7 euro per segment, depending on flight length. "These increase will be withdrawn as soon as the price of the barrel drops below $65 for 30 consecutive days," according to an Air France statement. In afternoon trading, a barrel of crude oil on the New York Mercantile Exchange was priced near $76.50.
