Aer Lingus and United Airlines will expand their partnership by "equally" sharing "commercial and operating benefits and risk" on new, cooperative transatlantic services
. The first such services will be flights between Washington Dulles and Madrid, effective March 2010, "with Aer Lingus managing the operational aspects of the new partnership services and United Airlines taking responsibility for managing revenue generation."
