KPMG is using more trains and will use more audio- and videoconferencing, but is "relying on ... more efficient planes" to further cut its carbon footprint
To reduce emissions, . "We have reduced our emissions by more than a third since 2000 through initiatives such as switching to renewable electricity, recycling and providing alternatives to travel," U.K. chairman and senior partner John Griffith-Jones told the Financial Times. "But half our carbon footprint is now accounted for by air travel and we can't quite see how we can deliver services to our international clients without it." KPMG doubts the effectiveness of carbon offsetting programs, according to the report.
