Egencia released to European clients a new hotel booking portion
of its interface, designed to give travelers access to a larger hotel inventory,
make rates more transparent and offer more tools for buyers to enforce travel
policies.
Egencia Hotel taps into 191,000 hotels globally. Many offer preferred
Egencia rates that include in-room Wi-Fi access, breakfast, parking and other
amenities. The tool more clearly than in previous versions displays to
travelers location, price, payment and cancellation terms, photos and reviews
integrated from TripAdvisor, according to Egencia. Travelers also can customize
searches by geography.
Buyers, meanwhile, can configure the tool to display
information related to travel programs and add their own corporate rates. The
tool also tracks bookings through the Egencia Traveler Tracking system.
Egencia within the next few months plans to expand Egencia
Hotel to North American clients.
