Corporate travel generates 40 percent of Flight Centre's U.S. sales and is the firm's largest individual operation there,
according to an interim financial statement. Flight Centre said the United States is its second-largest country by overall travel sales, "entrenched" with Australia and the United Kingdom in a group of three that generates 80 percent of global sales. The firm's business travel line, which includes the Corporate Traveller and FCm Travel Solutions brands, has offices in 15 U.S. cities, and Flight Centre is eyeing four more "in the medium-term," according to the company. The statement highlighted growing optimism and an estimate for 16 percent to 18 percent profit improvement in the year that ended in June.
