Carlson Wagonlit Travel North America president Jack O'Neill will retire at year-end,
to be replaced by CWT's Håkan Ericsson. A long-time corporate travel management executive who has earned several industry recognition awards, O'Neill has worked for CWT during the past seven years, since the company acquired Maritz Corporate Travel. During that time, CWT's North America business "more than tripled ... thanks in part to the successful acquisition and integration of Navigant International," according to a company statement. Ericsson, currently president of CWT's operations in Latin America and Europe, the Middle East and Africa, on Jan. 1, 2012 will assume the role of president of North America and Latin America. Until a successor is named, he also will continue to serve as president of the EMEA region and Global Partners Network.
