CI Travel acquired the corporate travel division of Azumano Travel Services

and will operate it as Azumano Corporate Travel, according to a company announcement. The acquisition "will augment our current growth plans in this important business segment," according to a statement attributed to CI Travel president and CEO W. Reed Atkins. Based in Norfolk, Va., CI Travel claims $200 million in annual sales. Azumano Travel Services is based in Portland, Ore., has 75 employees and claimed "approximately $125 million in travel volume in 2012." Both CI Travel and Azumano are affiliated with the American Express Travel Network. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
