AirPlus International enhanced its green reporting to allow clients to track carbon emissions by ticket, route, department, cost center or project number.

AirPlus uses the atmosfairemissions calculator to automatically calculate carbon emissions for each ticket charged to an account. Surveying 1,500 travel managers last year, AirPlus found that 30 percent of respondents measured emissions, but only 17 percent had created and implemented policies to manage the carbon footprint of their travel programs. However, another 17 percent of respondents said they expected to implement such policies this year.
