Thirty-seven percent of 2,202 U.K.-based Barclaycard users said environmental concerns "partially or significantly" impacted business travel
during the 12 months leading up to December, when they were polled. One percent of cardholders expecting to travel less in 2009 blamed company environmental policy, with most citing "declining business or cost issues." Barclaycard concluded that "greater focus on managing environmental impacts in an effort to drive down business travel costs does not appear to be working."
