Star Alliance Will Increase Brussels Service
Star Alliance carriers will increase service between Brussels and North America once Jet Airways shifts its European hub from Brussels to Amsterdam. In April, Brussels Airlines will fly between Brussels and Toronto five times per week with Air Canada as a codeshare partner. And United Airlines will increase service between Brussels and Newark next year with Brussels Airlines as a codeshare partner. Brussels Airlines also will increase service to Washington, D.C. The new routes are part of the carrier's larger long-haul network expansion, which also will include expanded service to both Kigali, Rwanda, and Entebbe, Uganda. It also may introduce service to Mumbai and to Lagos, Nigeria, or to Libreville, Gabon.
