SkyTeam’s governing board has confirmed Perry Cantarutti as CEO.

Cantarutti, who had worked as senior vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa for SkyTeam member Delta Air Lines over the past five years, succeeds Michael Wisbrun, whom the board has confirmed as chairman. Former chairman Leo van Wijk, who served as CEO of KLM from 1997 through 2007, retired after more than eight years in the position.
