High-speed rail operator Eurostar said "a number of major corporate clients have eased their business travel restrictions" in recent weeks.
"Although it is early days, this may be a sign of an upturn," according to Eurostar chief executive Richard Brown. The company reported a 6.8 percent increase in third quarter sales, partly due to a September 2008 fire in the Channel Tunnel that limited traffic between the United Kingdom and Continental Europe.
