Global corporate travel sales at American Express fell 31 percent year over year to $3.5 billion in the September quarter

, American Express Company reported. Amex also announced 14 percent lower global commercial card billed business during the quarter, and Global Commercial Services net income of $116 million, down 14 percent compared with the year-earlier period. The company's overall net income fell 21 percent to $640 million.
