Carlson Wagonlit Travel created a dedicated, global division for energy industry clients

CWT named Gary Pearce as senior vice president for global energy services, overseeing a team including U.S.-based resources and senior directors in Europe, the Middle East and Africa; Latin America; and Asia Pacific. Energy companies "in oil and gas services, maritime and drilling exploration, and alternative energies ... travel to and from remote locations around the world and their logistical needs are quite complex, often involving the rotation and transport of hundreds of employees at a time," CWT noted. The travel management company said it has more than 100 clients in the energy business.
