American Express Business Travel formed a global advisory services unit

of about 200 professionals to help clients optimize travel spend through three specialty practice lines: policy consulting, strategic sourcing and process management. Twelve-year company veteran Mike Streit was named vice president of the new Advisory Services unit, which integrates existing Amex Business Travel consulting groups addressing procurement, corporate meetings, travel policy and online adoption. Speaking at the Association of Corporate Travel Executives conference, officials said the services are priced separately from transaction processing.
