New York's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center opened its new
exhibition hall, Javits Center North, for its first event in August when it
hosted Business Journals Inc.'s Fashion Avenue Market Expo, a three-day fashion
event that was part of NYC Fashion Market Week.
The completion of Javits Center North, which features 80,000
square feet of exhibition space, concludes the expansion phase of a
facility-wide renovation project that began last summer. Currently in progress,
the renovation phase will be completed by the end of 2013 and will include
extensive upgrades encompassing the facility's safety, security, lighting and
plumbing systems, curtain wall and skylights and as well as its roof, which
will be replaced with New York City's largest green roof as part of a larger
plan to LEED-certify the building.
"The hall provides additional space for our existing
customers while ensuring a smooth transition during the renovation of our main
building," Javits Center president and CEO Gerald McQueen said.

The Trump International Hotel & Tower New York, the
flagship property of Donald Trump's growing hotel empire, has completed a $30
million renovation encompassing its 176 guest rooms and suites, the Trump Hotel

The Trump Hotel Collection now includes five properties—two
