Total U.S. travel agency air transactions processed through ARC in April fell more than 6 percent year over year, the largest decline since May 2009

, according to ARC data. Domestic transactions were down nearly 5 percent, while international transactions grew by nearly 10 percent. Despite lower transaction volume, April also represented the 18th consecutive month of rising total air sales, up nearly 2 percent year over year.
