The U.S. Departments of Veteran's Affairs and Commerce named Birmingham, Ala.-based Adtrav Travel Management as its travel agency
, effective Oct. 1. DOC said Adtrav, with $100 million in annual travel sales, will replace Carlson Wagonlit Travel's Sato as its travel services provider. It will operate three onsite locations and a reservations center as part of a seven-year contract. Transaction fees from Oct. 1 to July 31, 2008 include $22.25 for a domestic airline ticket and $26 for international tickets. DOC also noted that Adtrav services the U.S. General Services Administration, U.S. Department of Energy and other federal government entities.
