Same-day trips and use of nonrefundable fares trended higher in January 2009
versus a year earlier, according to Sabre. Citing bookings made in the Sabre global distribution system by corporate travel management companies at U.S. points of sale, Sabre reported that nonrefundable fare usage for business trips rose 7 percent for domestic flights and 16 percent for international flights. The percentage of same-day trips was up 7 percent.
