The Institute of Travel & Meetings announced plans to hold its 2012 annual conference in Manchester, U.K., from May 21 to May 23.

"Since launching the new membership program we have almost doubled the number of ITM members and for many buyers this will be their first conference," according to ITM chair Jamie Hindhaugh, referring to the free "Connect" membership level established in the spring.
