Hogg Robinson Group named Europe and Asia head Kevin Ruffles chief operating officer

, it announced Monday. Ruffles, who had been regional president of Europe and Asia/Pacific since 2007, will assume his new role on 1 October. He also joins the board of HRG in an executive role. According to Business Travel News, "HRG has a reputation for longevity of service, especially among senior management, but even by these standards Ruffles is exceptional, having started at the group in 1972. A spokeswoman said he will retain oversight of the business in Europe and Asia/Pacific."
