HRG group commercial director Stewart Harvey has resigned,
according to the travel management
company. Harvey "decided to leave HRG at the end of February to pursue
interests outside of the company," according to a statement issued by HRG
in response to a BTN inquiry. "It
is still very much business as normal at HRG." A statement on Harvey's LinkedIn page read: "Due
to resignation I am on garden leave as prudent action for HRG." "Garden
leave" is a U.K. term used when executives remain employed during their
notice period after resignation but are required to stay away from work,
especially if they are moving to a competitor. Harvey in 1990 joined HRG and since 2008 had
been one of six members of the HRG executive management team.
