Sales volume jumped 13.5 percent to $24.3 billion, driven in part by a 2 percent increase in average air ticket price. While a small portion of that resulted from corporate travelers moving to business class from economy class, "most of the average ticket price increase was driven by pricing and capacity," said president and CEO Douglas Anderson. Transactions growth was most apparent in the Asia/Pacific region (up 28 percent), followed by Latin Amercica (18 percent) and North America (nearly 13 percent). Throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa, CWT transaction volume was up less than 7 percent year over year.
