Adoption of corporate self-booking tools is less dependent on company location and size than organizational structure and culture
, according to a new report commissioned by Amadeus and conducted by the Business Travel Research Centre at Cranfield University in the United Kingdom, in collaboration with the Association of Corporate Travel Executives. "Statistically there is no significant difference in average online adoption rates between different geographical regions," according to the study, which compiled responses from more than 400 travel managers around the globe. Based on survey results, 55 percent of air bookings go through self-booking tools in North America and Asia. In Europe, that number is 48 percent.
