The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is pushing back the Oct. 1 deadline for Real ID requirements at airport security checkpoints, President Donald Trump said in a press briefing on Monday. The deadline is the point at which all passengers must have Real ID-compliant forms of identification—which include passports but not some older driver's licenses—in order to board flights in the United States.
(Update, March 26): DHS on Thursday announced a new deadline of Oct. 1, 2021.
