Turkish Airlines has committed to add up to 75 Boeing aircraft to its fleet, the carrier announced Friday. The agreement includes a firm order for 50 widebody Boeing 787-9 and 787-10 aircraft, with an option for 25 more. Deliveries are expected between 2029 and 2034.
The purchase is part of Turkish Airlines' "Vision 2033," in which it aims to expand its fleet beyond 800 aircraft while increasing the proportion of next-generation aircraft to 90 percent by 2033 and 100 percent by 2035, according to the carrier. Turkish Airlines currently has about 500 aircraft in its fleet.
