On Feb. 1, regional air transportation network OneJet will
begin twice-daily weekday round-trip service between Buffalo and Albany. The
flights will be the first commercial air service between the two New York
cities in more than seven years, according to OneJet. Businesses in upstate New
York deemed it "a mission-critical route," OneJet CEO Matthew Maguire
said; launch customers for the route include Buffalo-based M&T Bank and
HealthNow New York. The route will debut the new OneJet Plus service, using
Embraer ERJ135 aircraft that seats 30 passengers and offers more legroom than
OneJet's smaller aircraft.
