Alaska Airlines elite Mileage Plan members will receive matching status in the Oneworld alliance when Alaska joins the alliance on March 31, the carrier announced. Alaska's MVP Gold 75K members will receive Oneworld Emerald status, MVP Gold members will receive Sapphire status and MVP members will receive Ruby status. Oneworld status allows members access to such privileges as priority check-in, lounge access and baggage benefits across Oneworld's member airlines.
