Avis Car Rental has added Avis Now to its app to let customers view and choose vehicles, view and alter the durations of rental agreements, get on-demand assistance and access certain controls, including unlocking the doors or flashing the vehicle's headlights. The feature is available in 50 U.S. markets to Avis Preferred members and will expand to "select international markets" in the months ahead, according to Avis.
