Air New Zealand has named Walmart U.S. president and CEO Greg Foran as CEO. Foran, who grew up in Hastings and Hamilton, both in New Zealand, has led Walmart since 2014 and previously was president and CEO Of Walmart China. Air New Zealand chairman Therese Walsh said Foran was a "world-class Kiwi" who "has an impeccable track record in delivering strong commercial performance, outstanding customer focus and in building teams that can take a business to the next level." Foran will start in the first quarter of 2020. The carrier's previous CEO, Christopher Luxon, announced in June he would resign and stepped down from his duties on Sept. 25. He now is running for political office in New Zealand.
