United Airlines has moved its business-to-business sales functions under a branded umbrella, United for Business, moving away from what worldwide sales SVP Jake Cefolia called an "antiquated buyer-seller approach." United for Business includes sales to agencies, groups and both small and large companies, as well as a new, centralized website that Cefolia said makes it easier to find sales products that meet a buyer's specific needs. The older website for business customers was more text heavy and assumed customers knew what they were looking for, he said. For example, tabs now sort products under labels like "small business" and "midsize business" rather than product names like Propel, which might be unfamiliar to new customers, according to United. Communications labeled as United sales alerts now will be branded under United for Business.
