Business travel management provider TripActions has hired Thomas Tuchscherer to the newly created role of chief financial officer. As CFO, Tuchscherer will oversee TripActions' financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax, treasury, investor relations, corporate development and facilities operations, the company said.
Tuscherer brings to the role more than 20 years of financial and operations experience. Prior to TripActions, he served as CFO for data cloud specialists Snowflake and Talend. He also has held leadership roles for product, strategy, operations and planning at SAP and Cartesis.
Explaining the decision to create a CFO role, TripActions co-founder and CEO Ariel Cohen cited the company's rapid growth since its founding in 2015. After pocketing more than $400 million in investment funding over the past 13 months, the company has set its sights on global expansion as it scales up to serve enterprise-level clients with worldwide support needs.
