Hotel solutions company HRS intends to open two new U.S. offices
in 2018, one in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and another in the San Francisco Bay
Area. Suzanne Neufang, VP of the Americas and managing director for North
America, said the company has sourced 85 percent more rooms in North America
for 2018 than it did for 2017. That number is expected to grow as the RFP season
wraps. "While we are a very global company with people on our staff in 57
markets, the U.S. within three years has become our No. 1 market," Neufang
said. HRS aims to open the offices during the first half of the year. Neufang
declined to estimate how many people each office would employ. However, the company
has 41 full-time employees in North America, she said, including 20 in its New
York City office and seven in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
