Extended Stay America CFO Brian Nicholson has resigned to pursue other interests and will be replaced effective immediately by treasurer David Clarkson, the company announced. Nicholson will continue in a consulting role through Feb. 26, 2021, to assist with the transition. His resignation "is not related to any issues involving the company's operations, financial statements, internal controls, policies or practices," said ESA in a statement. Clarkson has been with ESA since 2013, most recently as VP of financial planning and analysis, and treasurer. He also served as interim CFO from January to May 2018.
