The European Commission has approved a €460 million stabilization package for Brussels Airlines. The carrier said the package, of which €290 million comes from the Belgian federal government and €170 million from parent company Lufthansa, "covers in part the losses incurred by Brussels Airlines due to the crisis and secures at the same time tens of thousands of direct and indirect jobs that are linked to the activities of Brussels Airlines." The German Economic Stabilization Fund also approved the package earlier this week.
