French hotel booking platform CDS Groupe has acquired Italy-based SIAP, which provides ERP software for travel management companies, the group announced.
SIAP will remain "autonomous" within CDS Groupe, with the addition of its 90 employees bringing the group's total headcount to 450, according to CDS Groupe. SIAP reports its ERP software is used by more than 1,000 TMCs, and the acquisition also comes with SIAP's Methodica outsourcing services for TMCs and corporates.
"With the integration of SIAP, we gain not only a stronger foothold in the Italian market but also access to advanced ERP technologies and a deep understanding of local travel management practices," CDS Groupe CEO Ziad Minkara said in a statement.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
CDS Groupe acquisitions in recent years have included expense management provider Rydoo and German corporate accommodations provider Corporate Rates Club. Minkara said the group has a target of hitting €1 billion in annual hotel booking volume by 2027 and will be doing more acquisitions, "including plans for entering into the Anglo-Saxon market."
