Accor's group revenue rose 4.1 percent on a like-for-like basis year over year in the third quarter to 1.05 billion euros. Consolidated revenue per available room also grew, by 0.7 percent, to 68 euros. RevPAR increased across all regions, save Asia/Pacific, which declined 1.1 percent due to trade tensions between the U.S. and China and to unrest in Hong Kong. In the North America, Central America and Caribbean region, the company's midscale brands turned in the best RevPAR growth, at 2.1 percent. Accor's overall quarterly occupancy rose half a percentage point to 73 percent, and average daily rate increased 0.1 percent, to 93 euros.
Accor opened 60 hotels totaling 8,500 rooms in the third quarter. As of the end of September, the company's portfolio totaled 726,345 rooms across 4,946 hotels. It had a pipeline of 205,000 rooms across 1,181 hotels.
In September, the company announced a sustainable tourism-focused economy brand, Greet, which actually opened its first property in April, in Beaune, France. Accor aims to open 300 Greet locations by 2030. Accor chairman and CEO Sebastien Bazin also referenced the company's upcoming distribution platform and loyalty program, All, announced earlier this year, but did not provide a launch date.
