The Institute of Travel and Meetings announced a partnership with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply.

The agreement includes reciprocal membership discounts and "master classes covering both professional procurement techniques and travel-specific category expertise initially in the areas of airline, hotel, travel technology and travel service provision." ITM CEO Simone Buckley cited a recent survey of ITM travel buyer members that found that "procurement professionals with a CIPS qualification earn on average £10,000 per year more than those who do not."
